At Children’s House Montessori, the Office Assistant supports the Nursery Manager and the Office Manager with the all aspects of health and safety within the nursery. The Office Assistant ensures compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and best practices to ensure all children have access to a healthy and safe environment. The post holder also offers admin support to the Office Manager.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- completing daily risk assessments
- meet and greet parents
- contacting parents whose children are sick for them to come and pick up
- accompany sick children in the Clinic until their parent arrives
- ensures the bedding in the Clinic is washed after each use
- responsible for displaying children's allergy lists across the nursery
- ensures first aid boxes are fully stocked
- submits monthly report of all accidents and incidents at the nursery
- ensures the log for the bus is available
- ensures only members of staff are going on the bus
- responsible for all the filing in the office
- prints all the labels for the nursery and classrooms, as and when required
- ensures all printables required for new joiners are ready when children start attending nursery
- keeps inventories up-to-date; uniform and cleaning products/PPE
- general administrative duties
- assists covering staff break times
