Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated LAN Connectivity Intern to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work in a global environment to identify and tackle the biggest opportunities and challenges at the intersection of healthcare, information and technology. This position will report into the LAN Product Team, which has global responsibility for the LAN Products globally, inclusive of Network Switches.
The primary responsibility of this role is to run report from CMDB database to identify HW located at each of 259 sites. You will ensure each site has necessary spare hardware in stock to ensure seamless operation, especially manufacturing facility.
You will be required to work with large amount of data. You will engage with Network Product Teams as well as global IT and business stakeholders as you coordinate communication with the remote sites related to the shipment of spare parts where they are needed.
This position requires an individual with excellent planning and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run reports from CMDB to identify exact location and count network hardware.
- Coordinate with the remote site recount of spare HW at the site and provide instructions on how to update CMDB.
- Identify locations with insufficient count of spare hardware and coordinate shipments of spare parts within the region to ensure even redistribution of spare parts.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders during the spare hardware recount activity.
- Schedule meetings with the stakeholders to spread general awareness of this project initiative.
- Ensure CMDB database is reflecting accurate information based on data provided by the remote site.
Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree
- Excellent Planning Skills
- Ability to proactively identify issues/challenges and appropriately prioritize for positive outcomes
- Strong Communication skills
- Able to schedule work in order to meet set timeline milestones
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook
- Be able to present in a video conference with the stakeholders
