RESPONSIBILITIESCandidates are expected to:-
Quality
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Quality System is in accordance with the standards and prepare reports on the performance for management review and improvement
- Plan, schedule, and supervise the conduct of internal and external ISO Audit which includes but not limited to verifying whether the quality activities and related results comply and determining the effectiveness and appropriate follow-up actions on the findings
- Review Risk Assessment on works relating to security, safety and the Company
- Ensure appropriate risk mitigation/control measures are in place
- Plan and conduct management walkabout
- Conduct shipboard audit
- Perform Safe Work Procedures review
- Carry out yearly customer market survey including compiling, analyzing, and reviewing of questionnaire and results
Security
- Execute security plan in the workplace according to security regulations
- Prepare and enforce security policies
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the regulations
- Prepare and conduct audits, drills, and inspections as per ISPS requirements
- Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive security programs
- Take lead in the investigation of security breaches which includes the reporting and closing out of investigation reports
- Handle and provide feedback on security complaints/feedback
- Be appointed as Data Protection Officer (“DPO”)
- Report any security incidents
Company Level
- Compile and keep track of the Company’s safety data for incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and Behaviour Based Safety (“BBS”)
- Analyze the Company’s safety data and put-up corrective actions
- Sustain and safeguard the Company Management system and ensure adherence to legislation and the applicable regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures
- Be appointed as Company’s Port Facility Security Officer (“PFSO”)
- Promote and drive BBS efforts throughout the company
- Conduct quality health, safety, security, and environment (“QHSSE”) onboarding for new hires
- Prepare and submit monthly management reports to the Group HSS team
- Perform safety inspections, investigations of incidents and accidents and prepare written reports of findings and provide timely recommendations for corrective or preventative measures
- Provide oversight and quality assurance for incident reporting
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to the team with regards to the latest quality and security legislation and issues
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Company’s QHSSE policies and practices
- Assist with identifying and recommending appropriate improvements to QHSSE policies and processes
- Provide QHSSE support across departments and overseas Business units and expand the scope of certification for new businesses when required
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties when assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should preferably possess the following: –
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in QHSSE capacity
- A minimum Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health Management or a related field
- Have strong knowledge of Singapore safety regulatory codes
- Demonstrate leadership and people management skills
- Able to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for detail and an inquisitive mind to question and uncover the truth
- Experienced in ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001 will be an added advantage
- Be one who is committed and self-driven.
