Purchaser [Netherlands]


 

The Purchaser will independently carry out operational purchasing tasks for defined products/categories, manage accounts and support procurement account managers. Draw up contracts or making contractual agreements with suppliers to have the required goods and services at the right time and under the right
terms and conditions. The purchaser is buying material for production and maintenance department, spare parts and components for the service department and project related installations for installation at our customers In addition, you are responsible for:

  • Inventorying and analysing the purchasing needs of the internal customer, drawing up specifications/requirements and checking these against purchasing policies and guidelines
  • Exploring and analysing the supplier market, comparing suppliers, establishing contact with (potential) suppliers, and requesting and comparing quotation(s) based on internal customer demand and specifications. Prepare and draw up proposals, contracts, and framework agreements.
  • Solicited and unsolicited advice to management and other internal stakeholders about purchasing processes and procedures, substantive advice on specific purchasing cases, as well as on identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Negotiate with suppliers about price and contract conditions to purchase goods or services. Responsible for administrative management, monitoring and maintenance of contracts and framework agreements (content, SLAs, price/quality ratio, cost levels, KPIs). Subsequently communicate the preconditions with the internal customer
  • Analyse, select, classify, and qualify suppliers and manage the supplier database, in line with purchasing policies and budgets. Take corrective action where needed (lead times, costs, service). Ownership for follow-up of supplier non-conformities.
  • Provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments, like input for supplier performance, budget indices and forecasting, by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines. Process PO’s, STO’s and PRs in the ERP system from quotation/PR receipt.
  • Offering support in achieving objectives regarding stock availability and turnover rate. Coordination and internal communication regarding stock developments and details, plus monitoring stock developments and current purchase orders and responding to them in a timely manner. Monitor lead times to ensure on-time
delivery, proactively communicate shortages and amended delivery times to stakeholders.
  • Contribute the continuous improvement of processes as well as the continuous development of the department systems and procedures.

We are looking for an ambitious Purchaser. Do you have experience in this field on a B2B level? And are you able to serve and analyse perfectly? Great! Hopefully you also meet the following profile: - Bachelor’s in business administration or Supply Chain Management. - 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a procurement department, preferably in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of MRP driven requirements planning - Excellent communication skills in English - You are fulltime avaliable (32 up to 40 hours per week) - You live in the Eindhoven area
