Job Description

Johnson & Johnson Vision, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Production Planner for the R&D and manufacturing site, located in Groningen, the Netherlands.

The Production Planner is part of the local Plan team in Groningen. Together with your direct colleague your primary tasks and responsibilities will focus on the planning and controlling of production activities based on requirements from customers. This implies the planning and scheduling production as well as new product introduction activities in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Since you are part of a larger team responsible for master data, logistics, planning and purchasing you need to be able to take on a high variety of tasks next to your primary tasks when required. The planning activities are diverse, and you need to be able to communicate effectively in a global network of different functions involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs the Sales & Operations monthly cycle as the capacity planner/ Master Scheduler for the production site in Groningen.
  • Controls the detailed production schedule daily to meet customer demand and have an efficient production plan.
  • Controls capacity assumptions, work in progress, in process inventory levels, production adherence to the plan and planning parameters.
  • Coordinates the production capacity loading by means of commercial production requirements and Engineering/R&D line time requirements.
  • Controls, updates, analyze, and validate planning parameters and proactive align changes, improvements and optimization opportunities with all stakeholders involved.
  • Coordinates Key Performance Indicators of the Groningen site with the global planning team.
  • Collaborates with purchasing and logistics to ensure availability of materials.
  • Controls certain Material Requirements Planning activities.
  • Supports projects that require planning support.

Controls activities related to Import and Export activities.

Supports ad-hoc requests related to import and/or export of materials.

Ensures the manufacturing site remains in compliance with Customs and Trade Compliance regulations.

Controls and improves the different systems required to perform Planning and Scheduling activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications/ Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations and Logistics, or Business Administration .

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in supply chain, operations, logistics or relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience with complex planning tools & solid understanding of ERP systems and advanced plannings systems is preferred (SAP & OMP preferred).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and an interest in planning is required. Focuses on accuracy and attention to detail on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.
  • Flexible to support the business whenever required and able to communicate effectively with different functions on a global scale in different time zones
  • Communicates effectively with different hierarchical levels in the organization
  • Proactive in solving problems and focus on continuous improvement opportunities
  • Willing to work in a high compliance driven industry of Medical Implants
  • Setting priorities clear and communicate these with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.

Other

  • English and Dutch language proficiency required.
  • Proficiency using MS Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint is required.
  • Proficiency using ERP systems (SAP, OMP) is preferred.
