Position: Barista
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced barista to join our team in a specialty coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and excellent customer service skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and pour-over coffee
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Explain coffee brewing methods and make recommendations to customers based on their preferences
- Accurately process cash and credit card payments
- Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop or similar environment
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
